Youth in Revolt is a 2009 coming-of-age comedy film directed by Miguel Arteta. The movie is based on the 1993 novel of the same name by C.D. Payne. The story follows the life of Nick Twisp, a teenager with a vivid imagination and a burning desire for love and rebellion.

Nick Twisp, played by Michael Cera, is a socially awkward and sexually frustrated teenager who lives with his divorced mother, Estelle, and her boyfriend, Jerry.
